Conferences
The Network organises a series of conferences to bring together Network members, lecturers and researchers in universities and other higher education institutions with an interest in our themes, as well as those in NGOs and policy fields.
We organise two annual conferences and several smaller regional conferences:
CiCe Annual Conference
Taking place in May-June each year, the CiCe conference welcomes papers on Citizenship Education and on teaching of citizenship-related issues in the areas of social, political, economic, history/geographic, cultural/arts and environmental education. In addittion to the papers there is a lively programme of workshops, round tables and plenary addresses.
This year's annual Conference 2012 will be held at the University of York, England, 24 -26 May 2012. Full details and Call for Papers can be found on the conference page.
Research Student Conference
Preceeding the Annual Conference in the same week, the Reseach Student Conference offers Doctoral training sessions and the opportunity for research students to present papers to a smaller audience. Proposals are invited on citizenship and related topics and Best Paper Awards are presented to those students who show the highest level of excellence in their work.
